I followed your steps, but Reset says all current data and preferences will be permanently deleted. I don't want to delete what I have it took me hours to get it set up. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely remember to save any where I can find them rather than any auto-installs. I just type into my search bar on my browser Win10 whatever the subject you want to see wallpapers x or ever what your monitor resolution is set at and it will bring up a bunch.
IE I will search like this Win10 scifi wallpapers x You download them to your pictures folder. I made a new folder in my pictures file called Wallpaper and Lock Screen to keep them separated from my picture projects.
I do not cycle my backgrounds using the program to auto rotate them. I use one for about 2 weeks then I will pick another for my wallpaper. I generally keep my lock screen background set at to my favorite image. I seem to get better search results using that. Always check out the image section after you search as they have some good ones there you can download after clicking on one.
You may need to play a little but you will get the hang of search for what you want. I will not limit myself just to what MS offers in the store.
A word of advice that may not be part of the subject here. I personalize them with the tools offered in Settings in Win 10 and not from somewhere else or what you may see here. Background pics are harmless but there are bad sites out there concerning them as well so trust your antivirus. I use Nortan and it is quite aggressive in picking up attack sites and malware but to each their own. I install all my updates that are sent from MS.
Some people do not but it could be that one optional update to did not install that could cause future updates not to install. I wait for the updates to come to me as I do not search for them.
